If you’re out for the day, this is the perfect opportunity for students to step back and see the bigger picture of what Family and Consumer Sciences is really about. Many students think FCS is just cooking or sewing, but it actually opens the door to a wide range of real-world careers and life pathways. Today’s lesson will guide students in exploring different FCS pathways, such as culinary arts, human services, education, and entrepreneurship, so they can begin connecting what they learn in class to future opportunities. This activity keeps students engaged, thinking independently, and building awareness of how FCS skills translate beyond the classroom.
